This is obviously a very old video. Firstly he did not define the category of training being discussed; im assuming hypertrophy resistance work. Secondly he did not outline what he would consider as explosive training. Today approximately 45yrs later the field of exercise science has grown astronomically. The applications of strength, hypertrophy, power, speed, mobility, CNS, MFS, SAQ, conditioning modalities etc are being applied in various forms, techniques, loading parameters etc to enhance almost all athletes such as in bodybuilding, powerlifting , weightlifting, strongman and the many various sports that require unique performance capacities such as track, field, swimming, combat sports, contact field sports, court sports, bat and ball sports etc. The coaches that understand the integration of the many training modes mainly reside in strength and conditioning however I have personally used every method in every sport mentioned. Yes I have used PAP which is explosive and high force for bodybuilders....a pre workout protocol for enhancing the neuromuscular and myofascial system force output as well as increasing movement connection. It is naive to postulate absolutes or singular merhods in almost anything....as we simply just don't understand what we do not yet know....๐ช๐ฝ๐ฏ
