You can’t expect emotional regulation from a child when they’re having a sugar crash..

If you feed your child “naked carbs” which are carbs without adding in some fats, fibre or protein, they’ll likely have a sugar crash.. we can do all the child therapy in the world but we must know that protein and fat rich foods help nervous systems feel safe.
Safe nervous systems promote regulated behaviors.

Regulated behavior in your children can provide stress relief for mums too, so it’s a win for you too?

Mums, don’t feed your kids naked carbs! Try some nut butter on that corn thin or some quality jerky with that popcorn. Try some hummus with the crackers or some cucumber and tahini with the fruit bun.

From a naturopathic perspective, water is the body’s most natural and essential fluid—it hydrates without burdening the system. Cordials, juices, and soft drinks often contain added sugars, acids, and artificial ingredients that can stress digestion, disrupt blood sugar, and increase inflammation. Water supports the body’s innate healing processes, helps detoxification, and maintains cellular balance without interfering with the body’s natural self-regulation

Soft, chewy, and not too sweet 🤍
Perfect with a cuppa or for lunchboxes.

1️⃣ Preheat oven to 170°C fan (180°C regular)
2️⃣ Mix almond meal, tapioca flour + salt
3️⃣ Stir in melted butter + maple syrup
4️⃣ Fold through choc chips
5️⃣ Scoop, flatten slightly
