📣📣 IMPORTANT ANOUCEMENT📣📣

The Victorian Department of Health has announced the commencement of the Respiratory Syncytial Virus Mother & Infant Protection Program

- RSV infects up to 90% of children within the first 2 years of life and is the leading cause of hospitalisation due to lower respiratory tract disease such as bronchiolitis and pneumonia in infants aged under 6 months.

- Maternal vaccination is the safest means of protecting infants and children against RSV.

- From 3 February 2025 a new RSV maternal vaccine is available at EAST BENTLEIGH PHARMACY under the National Immunisation Program (NIP) ( NO COST ) for pregnant women from 28 to 36 weeks of pregnancy.
