❤️Melbourne Therapy and Counselling Centre Partners with McKinnon Cougars!🏀

We're excited to announce our partnership with the McKinnon Cougars VJBL program as their naming rights sponsor! This collaboration reflects our shared commitment to prioritising mental health and wellbeing for young athletes.

✨️Supporting Future Champions✨️
🏀 We'll provide tailored mental health programs designed to address challenges faced by young people today, building resilience and performance both on and off the court.

🏀 Our team will work with players, coaches, referees, and families to cultivate a supportive and understanding environment that promotes and fosters mental well-being.

🏀 We'll be offering valuable resources and support for the entire McKinnon Cougars community via their Mental Health Portal on the MBA website.

🏀 Member specific well-being programs and exclusive member discounts will be offered for counselling to the McKinnon Cougars community to help support their individual needs.

✨️Together with the McKinnon Basketball Association, we aim to✨️
* Equip young athletes with the tools to navigate life's challenges effectively.
* Foster a culture of open communication and understanding around mental health.
* Build a strong and resilient community that supports each other on and off the court.

Great tips on self care from Melbourne Therapy & Counselling Centre 👏👏❤️

Taking care of your mental health is just as important as taking care of your physical health. ❤️ Here are some tips to help you prioritise your mental well-being:

1️⃣ Practice mindfulness: take a few minutes each day to sit quietly and focus on your breathing. This can help you feel more grounded and present.

2️⃣ Get enough sleep: aim for 7-9 hours of sleep each night. Lack of sleep can make you more susceptible to stress and anxiety.

3️⃣ Manage stress: find healthy ways to cope with stress, such as exercise, meditation, or spending time in nature. Engaging in activities that you enjoy can help reduce stress and improve overall well-being.

4️⃣ Move your body: exercise releases endorphins, which can boost your mood and reduce stress. Find an activity you enjoy and make it a regular part of your routine.

5️⃣ Connect with others: Social support can be a powerful tool for improving mental health. Make time to connect with friends, family, or a therapist.

Melbourne Therapy & Counselling Centre (owned by Bayside Allied Health) is dedicated to supporting all individuals in improving their mental health, well-being and achieving their personal goals.

Our services meet the unique needs of each of our clients and our therapies include counselling for individuals, children, adolescents, teens and our LGBTQIA+ community. Our experienced team are trained in a variety of evidence-based therapy including CBT, ACT, mindfulness therapy, MI, solutions focused therapy and more.
