After a lot of thinking the past week my sister and I have decided we won’t be organising a funeral for mum.

Both my sister and I visited mum on Monday and after seeing her we have decided that she wouldn’t want anyone too see her as she was.

A lot of conversations over the years with mum about when that time finally comes and she always requested to only be cremated and not to bother with a funeral, for those reason we wish to follow her wishes.

We will organise a memorial in the next couple of days for those who want to come.

In life I believe we begin on a fresh slate, some choices we make send us down the wrong path, addiction and mental health are a path for our mum she traveled well. I can’t remember many good anymore no matter how hard I try, but I like to think that there was. If you are struggling, get help and support, remember you are always needed and loved by someone out there. X

I Believe the soul remains for sometime and then crosses over into new life, I hope our mum is now free of her demons, and returns to a fresh slate, a new life and can do some good in her next round.

If you are suffering from mental health, or any addiction please seek support, not only for yourself but your kids. My mum was a smart woman and has wasted her opportunities, her time with her kids, she has missed out on being a grandparent- one of the most amazing experiences in life one could have. Every moment in life counts. Xx

Like to share that our mum Susan Gail Lyness passed away at home on the 19 th or 20 th of July 2022 at 57 years of age. We invite anyone to share photos or comments on the page of you have.
