One of our responsibilities as audiologists is to constantly upskill. When it comes to technical products such as hearing aids, this can require frequent & dedicated learning sessions with manufacturers. At .me, we offer a wide range across unlocked major hearing aid brands - which also means we put in a lot of effort towards updating our knowledge to offer you personalised choice optimised for your unique circumstances. Get in touch to find out more.

Caught up with upcoming Melbourne artist Kristan Oud at his new gallery at on Collins. On display are story-laden & heartfelt paintings inspired by his times of illness, as well as sketches which capture Melbourne's post-lockdown renaissance. Go to enjoy - or purchase - a lovely new piece. Who knows? You might see one soon in our .me clinic!

Waiting patiently.

After more than 2 years, I could finally have my audiology PhD conferred last Friday at the Royal Exhibition Building with family present.

This was a building I walked past after many long days of seemingly fruitless labours on my way home from The University of Melbourne, resolutely believing that I would one day earn the right to celebrate in there with other graduands.

Among the NUMEROUS people who had helped to make this possible, my wife stands out as one who patiently supported me through it all - moving cities, enduring financial strain and then helping me push on as we started Hear With Me Audiology Care, allowing us to translate the research into making a difference to real peoples' lives.

I certainly did not do this alone and couldn't have done it without her initial, ongoing and constant support.

Thank you to all of you who have supported me this far.

(For those wondering, I've been practising and teaching as an audiologist for a decade after obtaining my Master's in NZ - so I'm not new to the field!)

I’ve watched plenty of Bluey thanks to my Goddaughter. (If you’re wondering, Bluey is a well written kids show - lots of jokes are targeted at parents so it’s very watchable). I was particular impressed by the show’s writers who had to adapt the four-pawed pups to communicate with five-handed Auslan. No easy “feat”!

Great job on the collaboration & .me

One of my roles beyond my audiological work is to invest in my own development as a business owner, to allow Hear With Me Audiology Care to serve more people and eventually support more team members who share our passion in helping others reconnect with loved ones through better hearing. Melbourne Innovation Centre ran a superb final day event yesterday with accomplished speakers and practical workshops. I had the opportunity to briefly meet Booktopia founder Tony Nash among many others.

If you're looking to start your own business or practice, there is so much support out there at city, state and federal levels before and during business ownership. Check it out!
