Have you ever had a night where you’re too hot, too cold, too much light in the room, you can’t get your pillow in the right position, your baby is just breathing too damn loudly?!?! That is your body’s way of telling you- I can’t switch off, I’m dysregulated!
The only way to change that is to switch up your sensory input- how your body uses sight, taste, touch, smell or noise our them to activate their nervous system ‘break pad’ to fall asleep.
Guess what? Your Bub is exactly the same! They need help to feel comfortable in their surroundings to fall asleep and stay asleep.
