What a great intiative

Understanding "Reasonable and Necessary"

Ever wondered why the NDIS funds some things but not others? It all comes down to one rule: Is it “reasonable and necessary”?

The NDIS will fund supports that are:
✔️ Directly related to your disability
✔️ Good value for money
✔️ Likely to help you reach your goals
✔️ Not something another service should provide (like Medicare)

💡 Tip: When requesting new supports, link them clearly to your goals and how they will improve your daily life or independence.

Easy way to remember, if it’s linked to your disability, helps you achieve a goal, and is cost-effective.
