The more years I use clinical Pilates as a rehab tool for my patients, the more I appreciate its benefits.

Mindfulness has to be one of my favourite aspects of it. Breathing, feeling, imagining, noticing… is so profoundly important on any road to recovery 🌷

Hello! 🌷I’m Sophie Mulcahy.
I am a Physiotherapist with a focus on the prevention of cancer related Lymphoedema, the treatment of lymphatic disorders including Lymphoedema and Lipoedema, and the treatment of complex issues related to the affects of cancer and it’s treatments.

I completed my Physiotherapy degree in 2010 at the University of Huddersfield in the UK. I have worked in many areas of healthcare both within hospital systems and private practice.

Over the years, I have developed a huge passion for working within the Cancer Rehabilitation space and I love being an empowering support for people who wish to thrive throughout their treatment and beyond.

Help me to support people in our local community with a cancer diagnosis!
Australia are a beneficiary of the Dry July campaign this year and funds raised help Cancer Rehab Physiotherapists, like me, to develop FREE rehab programs for people with a cancer diagnosis.
This is such a great cause with incredible community focussed supports!

Emily and I are at , enjoying a coffee from .healthbar. We’re very lucky to have an awesome gym and cafe all under one roof!

This will be the location for our 8-Week Cancer Wellness Program commencing in just under 3 weeks’ time.

We’re excited to be able to facilitate some great topics and have some experts join us along the way, too!

Just having a moment of appreciation for my favourite night time compression garment! 🫶🏻

The Haddenham Comfiwave is a compression garment designed specifically for night time use in managing lymphoedema.
Night time compression garments help maintain the reduction achieved with day time compression and prevent fluid and fibrosis build up overnight. Not everyone needs night time compression though!

It's important to note that when using compression garments, it's crucial to get the right size and fit, and it must be used alongside other important aspects of lymphoedema management. Consulting with an ALA accredited lymphedema practitioner should be the first step to proper management.
