'Ginhawa and our Sacred Ecologies' is an exhibit enframed within the diverse expressive aesthetics of ginhawa, and the necessities of its existence – of deep ease and balance, one that welcomes sacred rest, regenerative quiet, reflective moments and time-out in order to ‘tune in’ to our inner and outer sacred ecologies – as pathways to reclaim our self-autonomy and sovereignty in an increasingly discordant, autogenerated, digital-based world. Through acts of slow-existence, the sacred silence and ginhawa that co-mingle in these works, we are reminded how the multidisciplinary arts can offer us vital spaces to just be, to breathe, to gather back life, within ourselves and our vital ecoscapes – and perhaps forego, even for a while, the burgeoning tyranny of the digital, the instant but fleeting notifications of our times.
