Did anyone else wake up extra early this morning wondering what has happened? It all made sense when I got in the car and realised the hour had changed. So for those of you still in bed, enjoy your sleep in 😌 because technically you’ve had one extra hour of sleep, right? I think that’s how it works 😅

It will be a busy week of teaching (for me) and I’d love to catch you if you’re wanting to move and flow.

Finding balance is a tricky thing.

Something I am still working on.

What is currently serving me? And what can I start to let go of to make more room in my life for what matters?

Sometimes it takes a leap of faith, trust, courage.

I’ll be covering this week and hosting a Community Yoga class

I’d love to see you there 💙

Have you always wanted to try a yoga class but don’t know where to start?

Come join at a Community Yoga class that I’ll be hosting this Sunday 3 April

There are so many benefits to yoga - the most important one being how it translates off the yoga mat and into your daily life.

It really is one of the best mental health tools (in my opinion based on how it’s helped me).

Join me - let’s flow, move our bodies, connect with ourself and community and reset for the week 💙

More details are on the flyer (bookings, location, etc).

Happy International Women’s Day 🔥

May your light shine
May you embrace all that you are
May you tap into your strength and softness
May you empower others
May you stand in your power
May you find community among your sisters
May you rise to all that you are
May you remain creative, open, fluid
May you love yourself and show others how to do the same
May you be unapologetically yourself
May you know your worth 🌙

There is definitely a space and time for planning, doing and working hard towards your goals. But it doesn’t make sense to constantly push push push. There has to be balance. An element of surrendering to the process and allowing the fruits of your labour to arise and come into fruition (for some reason can’t find words other than 🍓🍉🍌). When you’ve put the work in and you’re not seeing results it might be time to let go and see what opportunities the universe might bring up for you. Resting, recovering, receiving, allowing are all a part of the process.

Classes this week 🙌🏼

💫Vinyasa
When: Wednesday 5:30-6:30pm
What to expect: This Vinyasa Yoga class is powerful and energetic. In this classes, students move fluidly from one asana (pose) to the next whilst connecting the breath to each movements. Vinyasa Flow Yoga promises to build strength and improve your mobility (and may even get you breaking out an inversion or two!), wherever your starting point is.

💫Restorative
When: Saturday 9-10am
What to expect: Restorative Yoga is a slow-paced, rejuvenating style of Yoga. Asanas are held for longer to release tension in the body and relax the mind, with the aim of increasing circulation in the joints and improve flexibility. This restorative class is ideal for anyone who wants to de-stress from a tough week of training.

NEW teaching schedule ✨

There will be a few changes to my yoga class schedule ⤵️

💫Tuesdays 10am Ashtanga yoga beginners (I’ll be teaching this class from the first week of March)

💫Wednesdays 5:30pm Vinyasa

💫Saturdays 9am Restorative

I’m still offering 1:1 private yoga sessions. We can do these online or face to face. DM for more info if you’re ready to take your yoga practice to the next level or if you’re a beginner needing more guidance.

I feel refreshed and energised for 2022 and aligned with what the universe has in store for me, my creations and my offerings. I am ready to serve and to receive. It feels like things are falling into place, a mix of action and surrender 🕉

What does feminine power look like to you?

Some of the things that friends and I came up with were:

Assertiveness not aggressive
Flowy
Creative
Confident and secure
Nurturing

It was an interesting discussion because we found it really easy to say what masculine power looked like but had more trouble finding the words for feminine power as it’s not something that is often modelled or spoken about in society. Feminine power is not just for females, it’s for all of us.

I looked at friends who I thought exhibited feminine power and thought of celebrities like and to come up with the qualities.

I’m curious, tell me in the comments, what qualities of feminine power come to mind? Men and all genders very welcome to join the discussion.

I’ll be off into the wilderness for two weeks 🌿

I always get nervous before traveling. Making sure I have everything I need. I am definitely one that likes to plan trips in detail. But trying to go with the flow a bit more this time.

I’m excited to go into the unknown for a bit. No technology, nothing ‘to do’, no where to be. The only thing you have to plan is your next meal 🥘

It’s been a hectic year, I started taking big steps to fulfil my dream to become a yoga teacher and share what I love.

When you do work that you really love, it adds a whole new flavour to life. My intention this year is to keep doing more of that.

I have big plans for when I return, so really glad to be taking this time off to reset, connect with myself and with nature.

Take care beautiful humans 🌼 I’ll see you on the flip side 🌿

How I built the habit of meditating and how you can too 🌿

▫️Make it simple
▫️Make it accessible
▫️Make it achievable

What worked for me is downloading the app - (it’s free)

I listen to guided meditations (I started with 5 minutes and now have built up to 15-20)

Paired it with a habit I’ve already established which is drinking my tea when I wake up

All I have to do is show up press play ☑️

Have you been trying to develop a meditation practice? What do you find challenging about maintaining it?
