My name is Amber and welcome to my journey of offering others the opportunity to truly discover who they are, how they can empower and express themselves freely. I have suffered depression, anxiety, eating disorders and other unhealthy and damaging coping mechanisms. When I was able to bring myself out of the very strong traumatic state I was in at the time, I gained a desire to be there for other
s, to be there for them and let them know they are not alone. I want to reach out to all those other females of all ages to let you know that we can create change together. This desire led me to studying a Cert III and Diploma of Community Services. As I worked on myself whilst working for the last few years in the mental health and disability industry, I was able to identify gaps in some individual’s care and emotional regulation. I observed the difference creativity, art, movement and music can create in the individuals I worked with significantly. Once identifying the gaps in some individual’s care and behaviour strategies, joined with my experience and my passion for creative arts. Led me to find an Holistic Integrated Creative Arts Therapy Diploma. The diploma captivated me as I was doing very similar work but it held the missing key. I know now full heartedly that I want to reach out to all other females and help them on their own self discovery path and for those beautiful women to go off and empower others in this world. This has lead me to currently study a bachelor in Arts Therapy at Ikon. I do have a trusty sidekick Rosi the ‘Whippy Whippet’ an assistance dog. She is a dog full of love and snuggles! She will become a quick loving companion if you are open to her.
