Osteopaths complete extensive university training to become experts in diagnosis and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal conditions. Our Osteopaths in Melbourne are of a handful of GIFT accredited fellows of Applied Functional Science (AFS) in Australia, trained in functional biomechanics, assessment and rehabilitation by Gary Gray and Dr Dave Tiberio of the Gray Institute in USA. We provide a unique approach incorporating functional movement assessment, treatment and rehabilitation. We will listen to the history of your condition, conduct a movement based assessment (please bring comfortable clothing) and use manual tests to assist diagnosis. Gentle soft tissue and joint mobilising techniques are used to improve range of motion in restricted regions of the body, followed by active tri-planar stretching and integrative functional movement exercises to rehabilitate your injury. We aim to empower you with safe and effective rehabilitation to reinforce improved function.
