Disability Support Worker — Complex Needs / Challenging Behaviour
Location: Melbourne Western Suburbs, VIC
Employment: Casual (DOE) | Pay: $34–$38 per hour

We’re seeking experienced, compassionate Disability Support Workers to deliver personcentred support for participants with complex care and challenging behaviours. This role promotes independence, safety and dignity in home and community settings.

Key responsibilities

Support participants with complex care needs
Assist with medication administration and health supports (training provided)
Implement Positive Behaviour Support plans and deescalation strategies
Support daily living: meal preparation, personal care and household tasks
Facilitate community access and transport
Maintain accurate progress notes and incident reports in line with NDIS Practice Standards

About you

Experience supporting people with complex needs and challenging behaviours
Calm, patient, and reliable with strong communication skills
Knowledge of NDIS quality and safeguarding requirements

Essential

Certificate III/IV in Disability or equivalent (preferred)
NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willing to obtain)
Working With Children Check (if required)
Current driver’s licence and reliable transport preferred
Availability for flexible shifts including evenings, weekends and sleepovers
