Introducing the Short Circuit Alcohol and Drug Pathway ⚡

Balancing recovery with work, family, and life commitments can be tough — that’s why we’ve created the Short Circuit AOD Pathway.

This program offers a short AOD 10 day detox option and a flexible half-day AOD program starting Tuesday 2nd February 2026 weekly 1pm to 4pm, designed to support people who need treatment without stepping away from their everyday responsibilities.

Our own surgeon Prof Paddy Dewan has been the founder, advocate and volunteer for Kind Cuts For Kids for a substantial number of years providing his surgical skills and care to a number of developing countries.

Kind Cuts For Kids is a non-government, not-for-profit organization based in Australia that provides specialist medical care for children in developing countries. The organization is 100% volunteer-based, with no office, paid staff, or fixed costs. Every dollar received from donations and fundraising is spent directly on the treatment and welfare of children in developing countries and on the training of local health care professionals. Since its establishment in 1993, Kind Cuts For Kids has treated over 10,000 children worldwide. The organization aims to improve the lives of children in developing countries by conducting surgical procedures not readily available in those countries, while also educating local health care professionals to achieve self-sufficiency in these procedures.

Recently this year he visited Zimbabwe and South Africa to provide essential urological treatments to patients unable to access specialist medical care.
