Healing happens when you consider the possibility, that there might be another way

Starting any type of therapy can be scary, but Simone, The Cuddle Creator is here to help

Today we are so busy existing rather than living and we neglect the real need for TOUCH.

To admit that you need touch and specifically cuddles is courageous. To make the appointment takes vulnerability. And lastly to attend the session is the most confronting and yet has the ability to completely transform YOU.

Have you been hugged like this recently? A hug that made you feel connected and peaceful.

A good hug can change your mood, and turn a whole day around.

Cuddle therapy works through hugging and platonic touch to give you those feelings of safety and contentment.

When we get to know someone, there are 2 important elements in this connection: comfort and trust.

When there is a good level of comfortable and trust in another person, we are able to share and be vulnerable.

Asking for or giving a cuddle is a very personal, caring, physical way to communicate.

As the therapist, I like to start slowly perhaps only holding hands while sitting side by side. Another simple position that is non-threatening is the “back to back”. Both people are sitting upright, facing away from each other and having their backs support each other. You can also rest the back of your heads against each other. This is a beautiful position and a powerful energy transfer and connection.

Please try this with your partner or friend and let me know what you felt and if you will be adding this to your cuddle repertoire.

Or please contact me for an intro session at half price for November and December 2022.

I will be posting more about other less known cuddle positions in the next few weeks.

Skin to skin contact is vital for mental health.

There are studies showing that touch signals safety and trust, it soothes and calms cardiovascular stress.

When you engage in pleasant touch, like a hug, it makes you feel good and firms up emotional and social bonds while lowering anxiety and fear.

Cuddle therapy utilises touch to increase positive emotional and physical health.

We all want to be seen and heard by our loved ones, family, friends and work colleagues.

It is difficult to admit to being lonely or in need of care from another soul.

If you’ve been without human touch for some time, receiving a complete embrace will be empowering, uplifting and likely to result in tears and laughter.

You may be in a relationship where there is little or no affection, and you crave affection from them.

As The Cuddle Creator, I am able to help in both of these scenarios.

Sessions are for people who are single, as well as those wanting to improve their language of affection with their partner.

Get in touch to experience the connection for yourself.

Studies have found that when people hug for 20 seconds or more, the feel-good hormone oxytocin is released which creates a strong bond and connection between the huggers. This is why oxytocin is known as the “cuddle”, “love” or “connection” hormone.

Oxytocin functions as a neurotransmitter in the brain. It is the chemical driving force behind attraction and care-giving in adult relationships, as well as between mother and infant bounding.

Virginia Satir, a family therapist, once famously said "We need 4 hugs a day for survival, 8 hugs a day for maintenance and 12 hugs a day for growth."

Make an appointment and experience the feel-good hormone at work.

Meet The Cuddle Creator, Simone.

Simone is a certified practitioner of cuddle therapy who understands the need and benefits of basic human touch and connection.

Cuddle Therapy is well established in the USA, but still quite new in Australia. A session with The Cuddle Creator, Simone will help each client move towards re-igniting that basic human bond in a safe, caring, trusted environment.

Simone, as a cuddle therapy Professional, knows that non-sexual intimacy is something that is woefully absent from modern human relationships

Laughter and tears are possible during the session and both are normal and welcome
