📢 Important update for Australian psychologists!
AHPRA’s new Professional Competencies for Psychologists (effective 1 December 2025) now emphasise the need for digital competence across all areas of practice.
As AHPRA states:
“The Professional competencies for psychologists have been updated to emphasise the importance for all psychologists to demonstrate digital competence.”
“Digital competence is the confident and critical usage of a range of digital technologies for information, communication and basic problem-solving.”
Psychologists are expected to use technology “professionally, competently, safely and appropriately.”
This includes telehealth, web-based interventions, apps, records and data storage, and even AI in psychological practice.
At ANTSA, we have built a digital tool that meets this growing professional expectation.
