Protein is bad for your bones.

Truth:
This myth comes from the belief that protein creates an acidic environment in the body, which could leach calcium from bones, leading to more calcium in the urine and increasing the risk
of osteoporosis.

However, that is not how it works. Your body tightly regulates blood pH, with a pH range of about 7.35 to 7.45. While foods can affect urine pH, they do not change blood pH. In fact, the International Osteoporosis Foundation found that higher protein intake (above the recommended dietary allowance of 0.8 g/kg body weight/day) is linked to greater bone mineral density, slower bone loss, and fewer hip fractures in the elderly with osteoporosis.
