Our Community Garden was established to foster relationships and provide a sense of belonging for our participants. It has become so much more than that, even as the colder weather sets in.

Our humble garden plots have become an intergenerational experience, empowering participants with gardening experience to teach and guide others, including our support team!

Together, we plan, learn, problem solve, and celebrate our success.

If you are interested in contributing to or joining our Tuesday program, please reach out to the Thrive Community team.

Did you know people with ADHD and bees might have something in common? 🐝

Some bees leave the hive and just… wander.
They zigzag through unfamiliar territory.
They look distracted. Unfocused. Off-task.

But they’re actually scout bees.

Their job is to find what others can’t see.
New food sources, new paths, new possibilities.

Without them, the hive stays stuck.
Without them, it doesn’t grow.

Sound familiar?

People with ADHD often wander too.
Our minds race. Our focus shifts.
We don’t always follow the expected path.
But that doesn’t mean we’re lost.

It might mean we’re wired to scout.
To explore bold ideas.
To spot patterns others miss.
To ask the hard questions.
To imagine better ways of doing things.

So many people with ADHD try and fit in.
To mask the chaos.
To shrink our edges.
To stay in line with the hive.

But what if we were never meant to blend in?

What if we were designed to stand out?
To go ahead.
To see what others can’t.
To bring something new back to the world.
