β€οΈ To start the year, let's take a brief important look at those differences for clarity.
π Aspergers Syndrome (now Autism Level 1)
π No significant delay in language or cognitive development; often average to above-average intelligence.
π Some difficulty with social cues, interaction, and conversation, but can often speak fluently.
π Individuals may lead independent lives or require minimal support.
π Profound Autism (Autism Level 3)
π Significant intellectual disability; minimal or no verbal language.
π Severe deficits in both verbal and non-verbal communication.
π Very substantial, requiring round-the-clock care and assistance with daily living.
β€οΈ And whilst both conditions fall under the Autism Umbrella, it is important to understand respectfully the key differences, why they are far from the same.
