Care needs can change over time.

That’s why starting with the right provider matters.

We support clients with a few visits each week, right to 24/7 care.

If you only have a few visits a week and things become more complex,
there’s no need to start again.

Just continued care, from a team already prepared.

We’re known for supporting complex clients.

But many people don’t need that level of care.

They need something steady.

Reliable.
Thoughtfully delivered throughout the week.

That’s why 3–5 visits can make such a difference.
Because the right support, isn’t about intensity.
It’s about consistency.

When we provide in home care we are 100% exceptional, but when we create videos….

Let’s just say we are human 🤣🤣

Some conversations are harder than others.

But they matter.

Living with a disability isn’t just about support needs.

It’s about identity.
Choice.
Dignity.
And for some, it also includes conversations about end of life.

These moments deserve care that is thoughtful, compassionate, and deeply respectful.

We’ve shared some reflections on this important topic in our latest blog.

The world is a scary place at the moment, and for those living with a disability it is even scarier. I can't imagine the fear being felt around Australia at the moment both NDIS participants as the government slowly leaks ideas of what changes they are planning in the hope that the real budget changes wont be so badly received.

NDIS Facts
Some participants rely on it to stay alive
Some participants rely on it to shower
Some participants rely on it to get out of bed
Some participants rely on it to mobilise
Some participants rely on it to socialise (this includes their support worker being the only person they see in their life)
Some participants rely on it to use their bowels
Some participants rely on it to empty their catheter bags or change their pads
Some participants rely on it to have a safe house to live in
Some participants rely on it to communicate
Some participants rely on it to breathe
Some participants rely on it to take life saving medication
Some participants rely on it to live independently
And I could go on...........

No one reading this would want assistance with any of the above if they had a choice. Before you make a negative statement about the NDIS at least think about it and remember the positive impact it has had on our society. If NDIS funding is cut by those who have been assessed as truly requiring it the following will happen;
Neglect leading to deaths
Surge in hospitalisations and deadlock at hospitals, there are no facilities for people with disabilities to live in with no NDIS funding.
Young people with disabilities being forced into aged care
Parents leaving the workforce to look after their adult children with disabilities
Unemployment rates will increase significantly as support workers are no longer funded.
Negative mental health impact on participants and their families and committed carers.

I'm not saying it doesn't need review, I'm saying be very careful what you do because the wrong cuts will kill. Don't listen those in brown cardigans who count money and have never been in the same room with a person with a disability giving advice and making offensive genralisations. Listen to those who live with disabilities or know what that means.

Consistency changes everything.

Seeing the same support worker, a few times each week, builds familiarity and trust.

It creates rhythm.
Comfort.
Confidence.

This is where meaningful care lives.

It’s A Tough Time For NDIS Providers And Support Coordinators

Hi I’m the CEO and Founder of Exceptional Care For You and are based in the western suburbs of Melbourne.

I want to start by saying I know the NDIS is not perfect, however the bias towards bad stories and people’s negative options getting air time is really concerning to me.

There is so much good work going on in this space by honest , compassionate people who you never hear about because they are not looking for publicity or their story is not sensational enough for our media.

As a provider I am feeling quite flat and I think many fellow providers may be to. I am proposing we meet together to provide each other support and see if we can help each other in any way.

I am thinking either a breakfast or after work catch up at our offices in Sunshine West. Let’s get to know each other and join together to fight the negativity

if you are interested in attending please message me. cheers

The right support fits into your life
—not the other way around.

For disability and aged care participants, that often looks like a few visits each week.
Support with the day-to-day.

Time to build trust.

Care that feels consistent.

Simple, but done properly.

Support doesn’t have to be every day to make a real difference.

For many people, 3–5 visits a week is all it takes to feel supported, steady, and in control.

Help with routines.

A familiar face.

Someone who understands.

That’s where good care begins.
