Why I do what I do👇

I recently started working with the amazing, incredible and to kick off our work together she asked me, “why do you do what you do”

Not, what do I do, but why?

I had to think for a minute 🤔

Why do I love helping women improve their relationship with food and their body?

After some reflection, it all came back to what I value in work and life👇

As an ADHDer, I need purpose-driven work, something that lights me up, sparks my interest and gives me dopamine.

Helping women step out of food chaos, self-criticism and diet culture, does exactly that.

Yes, I often think I’d make more money if I sold weight-loss programs, and promised “results in 6 weeks.”

But I couldn’t sleep at night 😓

Because dieting, weight obsession and body shame go against my three core values👇

1. Feminism
(When women aren’t distracted or obsessed with calories and the number on the scales they can actually focus on other more important things e.g. financial independence, leadership and their equal rights)

2. Health at Every Size (HAES)
(All women deserve body autonomy, healthcare free of weight stigma, and advice that empowers them)

3. Food Is More Than Fuel
(All women deserve to enjoy food and have a calm, peaceful relationship with food, regardless of their weight, shape and size)

What happens when an ADHDer struggling with binge eating starts fuelling herself properly?👇

When we started working together, she was exhausted, frustrated and couldn’t bare the idea of ANOTHER diet 😓
She’d spent years swinging between restriction and bingeing
Feeling guilty for “losing control” and frustrated that nothing seemed to work
Most days, she’d feed the kids well… but when it came to her own meals, it was whatever was fastest: toast, cereal, takeaway, or nothing until 3 pm.
She wasn’t lazy. She was low-capacity.
And her brain, like so many ADHDers, was running on fumes.

In just 4 weeks, while juggling part-time work, daycare drop-offs and endless to-do lists, my client:

✨ Stopped instantly reaching for🍫🍪
✨ Stopped obsessing over food 24/7
✨ Increased her protein + fibre intake
