Most of us who workout focus on the work out- getting it done then we get on with our day.

We don’t prioritise stretching because the workout is the priority.

I’m speaking from experience here.

When I’m busy I want to get the workout done and I don’t take the time to stretch out .

But, every time I do, I feel so much better for it.

And my workouts feel better as well.

Our mobility and flexibility will help us with our workouts.

Think about the muscles being shortened in each workout.

If we continuously work them without stretching out afterwards, we will be constantly feeling tight.

This tightness can lead to impaired movement and injury eventually.

So here’s your reminder (and mine) of the importance of stretching and getting more flexible especially as we get older.🙆‍♀️🙆‍♂️

Nat has always weight-trained but only started progressive overload training at BodyVision in December 2023.

She started weight loss coaching in Jan 2024.

There were 2 differences that made her move the needle on the scales and in her measurements.

1. NUTRITION

2.HEAVIER WEIGHT-TRAINING

Natalie’s results so far show that training is not enough if you want to drop body fat and make serious changes in your weight.

There needs to be an education around proper nutrition to give your body the tools it needs to grow muscle first, otherwise you just become a smaller version of yourself with no tone.

It’s great to train but if you’re wanting to actually lose body fat and keep it off, you need to know a few things about food.

A balanced, liveable approach that is enjoyable and easy to stick to.

Nat also loves her social life and got these results fitting into holidays, weekends away and restaurant meals.

She has changed some lifestyle habits, altered others and kept going.

She has more goals set- going by her ideal weight range for her height and activity level(50-56kgs), she is nearly there.

Long lasting weight loss and more importantly, body composition changes come with effort but it’s worth it!

If you are a person like Nat who doesn’t go for shortcuts and values her health first, get in touch.

The semi private sessions are about getting gritty with the weight and reps and finding more and more within yourself- seeing just how far you can push past the point of comfort or burn.

When you have purpose everything changes.

The performance drives you.

Therefore, no motivation needed to push yourself to go to the gym.

You have purpose to get the job done, to try hard, to improve and change.

That drives me and helps me with my training each day.

The act of weight training is a skill and learning it is an art.

When motivation wanes, what have you got?

The I couldn’t be bothered, it’s all too hard mentality.

If you are working on your identity- who you are in those no motivation moments, it’s easier to say ‘ I’m going to do a lighter workout because something is better than nothing ‘

Your identity shows yup and gets it done.

I want to be a healthy, fit person, that’s what I want my identity to be deep down.

Working on identity will make you keep the promises to yourself and get you closer to the woman you are working on whoever she is for you.

My coaching program is individualised-tailoring what you need when you need it.

Most girls who come into the coaching space think that they will only be learning about nutrition and weight loss.

They definitely get a surprise when it’s so much more than that.

One of my clients today told me that she was thinking about the program and what it had given her so far.

She said that she realised that it had helped her regulate her nervous system, getting it under control, helping her quiet her monkey mind that had been quite loud in the past.

She was able to coach herself around when the negative thoughts came into her head. GOLD!!

She wasn’t as stressed and could cope with stress better. GOLD!!

Oh and there’s all the information about food too.

Can’t wait to see her reach her 2.0 version this year.

Healthy version of French toast

Ingredients
1 egg
1 egg white
Cinnamon
Splash of milk
40 g piece of bread
Berries
Yo pro vanilla yoghurt
1 tbs maple syrup

Soak the bread in the egg mixture and cook in a non stick fry pan.

Top with yoghurt, maple syrup and berries

Our Story

Body Vision is a Boutique Health & Fitness studio in Bulleen, Melbourne. It is a one stop shop for all your training needs as well as nutrition, emotional and mental support for women especially over the age of 40.

Classes include Pilates, Barre Fusion, Toning, Circuit, Semi Private and Personal Training.

Michelle offers Wellness Coaching and Self Development programs as well as Nutritional programs all under the EAT TRAIN LIVE umbrella.

These Programs are designed to support the client to get the best outcome for their needs, their goals and their life, addressing limiting beliefs, obstacles and sabotaging behaviours in all areas that are holding them back in life.
