We are so excited to have Ayşen Akdenk-Özgürler join the Mind Care team!

Aysen is a registered psychologist dedicated to supporting the mental health and well-being of individuals across the lifespan. With a background in education and psychology, Aysen brings a warm, client-centred approach to therapy, fostering a safe and inclusive environment where clients feel seen, heard, and empowered to thrive.

Aysen has experience working with a diverse range of clients—from children and adolescents to adults and older adults—addressing a wide spectrum of emotional, behavioural, and psychological concerns. Aysen draws on a range of evidence-based therapies, tailoring her interventions to suit the unique needs and goals of each individual.

Guided by humanistic principles, Aysen values authenticity, compassion, and cultural humility in her practice. She is passionate about building resilience, promoting mental health awareness, and enhancing access to care for culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities. Aysen is also currently exploring Islamically integrated psychotherapies to offer faith-informed, culturally sensitive support to clients of the Islamic faith.
