A holistic movement and wellness studio, mixing everything from Physiotherapy to sports massage, spinal mobilization to pregnancy Pilates. The Viva approach is a little more sophisticated than the average clinic. We’ve broken the process down into three stages: Relieve, Restore and Perform. This approach is flexible. Remember that knee surgery that you had years back and it has never got quite better?

There's lots of reasons why a post surgical knee may still give you trouble, and problems with the surgery is often not the main one. There are a few things that might still be holding you back
low grade swelling still there
the local stabilising muscles haven't been retrained
the big prime mover muscles haven't regained their global muscle strength
your balance is still a little off
you didn't get around to training your knee doing fast and unexpected movements
It's not too late to pick up where you left off. We can help you test, diagnose and treat all of these issues.

Returning to the office and feel you need an emotional reset? Or do you just feel physically stiff and tight as your routine changes?

Stress is a feeling of emotional or physical tension. It is associated with frustration, anger, or nervousness. It can be a natural reaction but it may become unbearable once it becomes out of control.

Physical tightness and stress are inextricably linked. Our bodies produce cortisol and adrenaline in response to emotional stress and they in turn produce sensation in the muscles that make them feel tight.

FREE Runner's Strength class with Tim on Monday 2nd May @5:15pm via Zoom

Tim will go through an entire home workout to improve your strength and endurance for running. We will work through some of Tim's favourite exercises while providing the progression or regression according to your level. This is a fun class if you enjoy a bit of sweat, a bit of burn, and a sense of satisfaction from a good workout. Join me in this online class, and come prepared with a mat, a wall, and a chair, for a great leg and b***y class.

Good ergonomics are key for both your home office and city office environment.

Here are 3 tips from Kath to make your workspace comfortable and appropriate.

1. Have a good chair and if you're using a laptop use a USB keyboard and mouse, plus a laptop raiser.
2. Stretch regularly.
3. Make your workstation dynamic. Move regularly. Don't just sit still!

Viva Physiotherapy are currently doing ergonomic assessments for both of your home and workplace set ups. $189 / hour - takes around 45 minutes to complete depending on the complexity of your set up and injury history. We can also assess your whole office in one session.
