Happy New Year to my wonderful community.

I’ve been very quiet on social media because I’ve been living, growing, changing and I’ve made some major life changes in 2022.

What hasn’t changed is my call to service, but how l do that has changed. I spent the last week in Bali. It was the first holiday l have had in 23 years where I didn’t have to work and where l felt free from people needing me. Let me tell you, that made me realise that all the deep soul searching of 2022 about whether to close my law firm has already proven to be exactly what l needed. I am tried of looking after other people and never ever being allowed to give myself a break. Who looks after the person in charge? No one, and that was a problem for me. So here’s to new beginnings, growth, change and feeling right into your discomfort and taking a chance!

2022 taught me that sometimes you don’t know and can’t find the answers. At those times it’s ok to follow the call, wherever it takes you. You are not responsible for others and should not dull your light or fail to follow your own path because you are trying to do the right thing. Follow the path and you will find a freedom that is next level.

2023 is my year of alignment. Everything I’ve worked on healing, growing and manifesting has led me to the place l am now and l will e gentle and considerate of myself first, as l welcome huge changes and continue to expand.

If you are not loving your life, ask yourself why not and what are you doing to change that? You could start by looking at what isn’t working, what doesn’t feel good or being you joy or what no longer serves or brings you happiness. Are you surrounding yourself with the right people? Are you the one always doing things for others? Do they value you in a way that leaves you feeling uplifted?

You are always one decision away from a completely different life, but be prepared to sit in the discomfort that expansion call for.

The best way to achieve inspired action and change is through setting your mindset first. You can support yourself by setting your mindset each morning and setting up your day for maximum success.

Challenge yourself to set your mindset each morning when you set your intentions for how you want your day to look and feel and for what you want to achieve that day. Do that for seven days and see how much closer you are to achieving your goals.

CONNECTION WITH MOTHER EARTH:
I recently travelled to Uluru with my family for a short getaway. This was probably my favourite getaway EVER.
Spending time in such a sacred place was very grounding and special. One of my favourite things was taking my shoes off and grounding in the amazing red sand and rock.
Grounding electrically reconnects you to the Earth and has amazing healing powers. It’s free, easy and if you haven’t yet tried it, get your shoes off and your feet connecting with water, sand, dirt and rock.

Pause regularly to deeply breathe. This is such an easy and powerful way to reset your nervous system.
Amazing person, rushing and multitasking are overrated and are not good for you.

Whatever you give your attention, energy and time to deserves to be done with a calm mind and body.

The next time you feel rushed and stressed, consciously pause for a few brief seconds to breathe deeply and reset.

If you love this tip why not set certain events where you train yourself to pause and breathe. Here’s some examples of when you can take a few seconds to consciously care for yourself:

• every time you pick up your phone;
• before answering a phone call;
• before you eat;
• at each traffic light.

There are so many opportunities available to you to actively calm yourself down and you have no idea how powerful this action can be in improving your health, happiness and general wellbeing.

GRATITUDE is literally how you can transform your life.

Practice gratitude first thing every single morning every day and you will gradually train your brain to see that you either win or you learn.

Gratitude is the most powerful self love tool in your wellbeing toolkit.

Think you don’t have anything to be grateful for?
- a home;
- a warm bed;
- waking up;
- food to eat;
- another season to explore how nature presents itself;
- your breath.

Let me introduce you to a life changing way to increase your happiness and manifest an abundance of positive energy.

First, you implement a daily wellbeing practice:
Step 1: deep breathing;
Step 2: gratitude practice;
Step 3: notice and adjust mindset; and
Step 4: forgiveness of self and others.

Do this morning and evening every day and you’ll notice a shift in your mindset and increased happiness.

Secondly, you set your intention to focus on a different wellbeing area each day of the week:
- Monday Mindfulness: Take note of and shift your thoughts, words, actions and behaviour.
- Tuesday Transformation: Want to get healthier? On Tuesdays do some exercise or follow a certain eating plan. Want to shift your mindset? On Tuesday repeat some additional affirmations.
- Wednesday Worthiness:
It is so easy to repeat affirmations and mantras and you can set alarms and put post-it notes and reminders in places around your workplace or home to support you on Wednesday. - Thursday Thoughtfulness:
Never bought yourself a bunch of flowers before? Thursday is your day.
- Friday Forgiveness:
Whether you wish to forgive yourself for one tiny little thing that you didn’t do as you would have hoped, or for a major thing that has been holding you back, Friday is your day to set your mindset to forgiveness and to sit with your feelings around what you need to forgive yourself for.
If you’re wanting to forgive something really big, you might want to work on this over a number of weeks.
- Weekend Self Care & Compassion:
The weekend is the perfect opportunity to look after yourself and to show yourself compassion. Small acts of kindness go a long way to setting yourself up for a positive day.

You aren’t given a never ending amount of energy. Once you use your energy you start to impact your health. Knowing your limits and setting boundaries for yourself and others is very important to ensuring you don’t exhaust yourself or become unwell.

Imagining that your have energy dollars will support you to consciously consider what and who you will give your attention to. Based on how you feel you can get stricter with those boundaries. On a good day you might give yourself $20 energy dollars but in days you already feel tired, unwell or are not your best, you could give yield $10 energy dollars. Imagine it takes you 4 energy dollars to happily and peacefully live your day. What will you spend the order $6 on?

Your energy is precious. Thinking of it as currency will shift the way you think about drama and whether you give your attention to things and people that will eat up your energy.

This is a great way to live consciously.

It’s often the smallest things that we do that have the most impact in our life. Regular and consistent practice changes your life and if you are wanting to increase your happiness and joy, start each and every single day by telling yourself what you can be grateful for. It really is a simple as that. When you appreciate the fact that you woke up, understand your entitlement and are grateful for it, smile and look for things to be happy for, you will enjoy your day much more than the days that you do not celebrate, appreciate and be grateful.
Before you go to bed at night, scan through your day and say what you can be grateful for.
If you look at every experience as an opportunity for growth, even challenging times can be viewed from a growth and positive mindset.
