According to the Department of Health, Disability and Aged Care, there are around 450,000 registered nurses and midwives supporting care across the country, making it the largest clinical workforce in the nation. ๐Ÿ”

Behind that number are dedicated nurses, midwives and care professionals showing up every day to support patients, families and communities, often under increasing pressure.

At ๐๐ฎ๐ซ๐ฌ๐ข๐ง๐  ๐€๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ญ๐ซ๐š๐ฅ๐ข๐š, weโ€™re proud to stand alongside this workforce, supporting those who care for Australia with flexible opportunities, reliable support and a genuine nurse-first approach. ๐Ÿฉบโ˜ค

๐–๐จ๐ซ๐ฅ๐ ๐๐ซ๐š๐ข๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ž ๐ƒ๐š๐ฒ is celebrated every 4th of January, to commemorate the birth of Louis Braille, whose system of raised dots revolutionised communication for people with vision impairment to read and write independently.

On this day, we recognise the importance of accessibility in the healthcare sector.

Providing "care and dedication" means ensuring that healthcare environments are accessible to everyone. Today, we celebrate the tools and people that help bridge the gap for the blind and low-vision community across Australia. ๐Ÿ“–โœจ

Last month, our National Client Relationship Manager, Kylee Smith, visited Newcastle and had the pleasure of catching up with someone very special - Victoria Gardner, one of our long-standing Registered Nurses who has been with Nursing Australia since 2004.

In that time, Victoria has worked 6,365 hours - thatโ€™s the equivalent of over eight and a half months of continuous nursing, day and night. Incredible dedication!

Victoria has been part of so many unique opportunities with us over the years.
Whether supporting major healthcare organisations or taking on specialised project work, sheโ€™s always the first to put her hand up and give her absolute best. Her professionalism speaks for itself, and itโ€™s no surprise sheโ€™s often chosen to lead.

What means the most to us? Hearing Victoria say sheโ€™s โ€œvery happy representing Nursing Australiaโ€ and that she loves working with our team. The feeling is mutual - we absolutely love having her as part of our NA family.
