With nearly two decades in the business, Kavita knows many of you personally, she watched you grow in your career and take on new challenges, witnessed your professional and personal milestones. Now is your chance to get to know her so don't miss that opportunity and use the pointers below next time you have a chat with Kavita.

What’s your role and what do you love about it?
- It's been 19 years and I'm still loving it! I look forward to coming to work every day! I love connecting with our amazing nurses and clients, chatting about what’s happening across the healthcare system and how I can support their staffing or employment needs. I'm lucky to work alongside a passionate, experienced team, most have been in the industry for over 20 years, and their knowledge and dedication are truly unmatched!

What inspired you to work in Healthcare?
- After high school, I completed my nursing degree and began my career in the Neonatal Unit. Watching tiny babies fight through their NICU journey, grow stronger, and finally go home with their families was incredibly rewarding. The bonds I formed with those families during such an emotional time will stay with me forever. That hands-on experience, navigating the challenges and emotions of hospital life, gave me the perfect foundation to step into my role at Nursing Australia. Now, I get to support nurses and healthcare facilities every day, truly understanding their needs and the pressures they face 🧡 It’s a career path I’m proud of, and one that continues to inspire me.

What’s your go-to weekend activity?
- With two super sporty kids (aged 13 & 10), my weekends are packed with soccer, basketball, touch footy, and athletics - depending on the season! I also manage my daughter’s basketball team, which means we’re often on the road. This year alone we’ve travelled to Melbourne (twice!), Canberra, and Maitland for tournaments. It’s busy, but I absolutely love it!

Wouldn't it be nice to find out a little more about the team who get you work-ready for your shifts with Nursing Australia?

Say hi and get to know Hugh, our Client and Candidate Relationship Manager in Victoria.

What’s your role and what do you love about it?
- I am the Client and Candidate Relationship Manager for Victoria, and I love it. I really enjoy the people side to my business. I enjoy meeting with Registered Nurses and all clinical staff, learning about their roles while having them work-ready for the agency. It really is very rewarding work. The fact that my colleagues are all hard working, but also ultra-friendly and make each day fun is an added bonus.

What inspired you to work in healthcare/staffing?
- In 2012 I found myself at a crossroads in my career, moving from banking into the HR/Recruitment space. I decided I wanted to engage in something I regarded as noble and specialised. I found nursing recruitment and I never looked back.

A fun fact about you.,
- My great grandfather was the Captain of the Australian Cricket Team. There is a bar at the MCC named The Hugh Trumble Cafe.

What’s your favourite way to unwind after work?
I watch, read about and live sport. AFL, cricket, soccer and basketball. Some say I am obsessed. That and spending time with my twin girls.

Coffee or tea?
- Tea. All the way. No exceptions.

If you could work from anywhere for a day, where would it be?
- The Melbourne Football Club.

What’s something people wouldn’t expect about your role?
- The amazing satisfaction you feel when you find someone the exact perfect job. When you can actually see and hear it has changed their life.

- What’s your go-to weekend activity?
No unsurprisingly – attending the MCG to watch my favourite team win.
