Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. You wouldn't prepare for a day trip in your car without putting fuel in the tank, and having adequate water in the radiator.

7 - 9am is the best time to have breakfast, when the Stomach organ in Chinese Medicine is at it's most active.

Simple, warm, easy to digest foods are best. Our digestive process needs warmth to function well. If we have smoothies, or cold foods, our bodies contract, and the digestive process slows. This leads to food stagnation, bloating, discomfort, and sometimes pain (think fermentation - and all those microbes having a party...at your expense). Too much cold in the system diminishes our digestive 🔥 - literally the energy we need to 'cook' our food internally to break down the food and, extract the nutrients.

Set an intention to start your day well 🌞🍲
