Mouth Ulcers 😣
Mouth ulcers are small, painful sores that can appear inside your mouth—on the gums, inner cheeks or tongue.
They often appear due to stress, injury, certain foods or a weakened immune system. While they can be uncomfortable, they’re usually harmless and tend to heal on their own within a week or two.
Here are a few ways to manage the pain and speed up healing:
- Use an over-the-counter oral gel or rinse to numb the area and reduce inflammation.
- Rinse your mouth with a saltwater solution to keep the sore clean.
- Avoid spicy, acidic or rough foods that can irritate the ulcer.
- Stay hydrated and maintain good oral hygiene.
If your mouth ulcer lasts more than two weeks, is particularly large or keeps recurring, it’s a good idea to check with your doctor or dentist for further advice.
