From the Tooth to the Truth with Dry Needling: A Collaborative Approach to TMD and Orofacial Conditions. The Australian Dental Association Victorian Branch successfully organised a workshop on the assessment and management of TMD and orofacial conditions using dry needling. A notable collaboration occurred between dentists, TMJD physiotherapists, oral medicine specialists, periodontists and myotherapists.

A special thank you is extended to Kerrie Bor for her valuable input and demonstrations on approaches to trismus, tinnitus, Bell’s palsy and headaches.

The Inaugural Dry Needling workshop for Temperomandibular Joint Dysfunction (TMJD) and Orofacial pain will be run by the Australian Dental Association Victoria on Friday 11 October 2024.

Safety a priority in the APA Dry Needling course in Melbourne on 18 and 19 November : 3 places left

To mitigate risks in dry needling, the evidence-informed course was authored for practical application by Prof Jane Rooney and Prof Peter Selvaratnam for the APA.

The programme has a HIGH SAFETY component, and in-depth practical component.

Queensland APA Dry Needling Course

The APA’s Queensland dry needling course will be run on
16 and 17 September 2023.

The APA’s Part A online Safety programme was written by Leigh McCutcheon of Queensland and Paula Raymond-Yacoub of New South Wales.

Part B of the F2F course was written by Associate Professors Peter Selvaratnam and Jane Rooney.

The course will be conducted by Specialist, Associate Professor Peter Selvaratnam, Nathan Stella (Acupuncturist), Stanley Hsu (dry needler) Dr Phil Gabel (dry needler).

Practical application is the hallmark of the course. This is the ONLY COURSE that has been peer reviewed and approved by the APA with a near 5 Star rating.
