🎉 Exciting News! We’re thrilled to welcome Professor Brett Deacon to the GROW Clinical Psychology team!

Professor Deacon brings over 20 years of expertise as a clinical psychologist, researcher, and educator. With a PhD from Northern Illinois University and postdoctoral training at the Mayo Clinic, he was most recently associate professor and convener of the clinical psychology program at the University of Melbourne.

Brett specialises in anxiety-related conditions including OCD, social anxiety, panic attacks, phobias, and health anxiety. He’s internationally recognised as an authority on exposure therapy - the gold standard treatment for these issues - and co-authored the acclaimed textbook Exposure Therapy for Anxiety: Principles and Practice.

With dual registration in Australia and Texas, Professor Deacon’s extensive experience in both private practice and academia makes him an invaluable addition to our team.
