GROW Clinical Psychology

GROW Clinical Psychology GROW is a psychology clinic working with children, families and adults to grow into their best selves

Dr Firdevs Tat is the founder and principal psychologist of GROW Clinical Psychology. GROW's dream is to create a space where the needs of children, adolescents, families and individuals are met. Through establishing a team of like-minded psychologists who work collaboratively, we envision GROW to be a place where our professionals feel purposeful in the work they do.

Some people stepped into this week carrying invisible battles no one else could see — and still showed up, still kept going.

As a new week begins, maybe this is the week you give yourself permission to rest, ask for support, set a boundary, or take one small step toward healing.

That is strength too.

A neuro-affirming approach is important because it recognises and values the diverse ways people think, learn, and experience the world, while fostering acceptance, understanding, and inclusion.

Today, 7 different people sat in this chair.
7 different lives.
7 different stories carried quietly through the door.

Some spoke through tears.
Some through silence.
Some smiled while holding things too heavy to say out loud.

And for a little while, this room held all of it.

Starting a psychology assessment for you or your child can feel like a big step — and it’s completely okay to come with questions, uncertainty, or mixed emotions.

Our approach is gentle, collaborative, and neurodiversity-affirming. We take the time to understand the person behind the referral — their experiences, strengths, and the unique ways they move through the world.

The process may include conversations, questionnaires, and evidence-based tools, all used thoughtfully and at a comfortable pace. We look at the whole picture — not just challenges, but what’s working well and what makes you or your child who they are.

At the end, you or your child will receive a comprehensive report, along with a feedback session where everything is explained clearly and with care — with space for questions, reflections, and next steps.

This isn’t about “labelling” — it’s about building understanding, clarity, and finding supports that feel right for you or your child.
