Breakfast is the most important meal of the day not to F # up!!

Are you having the healthiest option you can to start the day with??

These are definitely ‘NOT’ the best options -
❌ Nutri Grain, Coco Pops - very high levels of sugar added, highly processed wheat, preservatives, raising agents and synthetic vitamins.
❌ Other processed cereals - full of processed wheat, flour, sugar, preservatives.
❌ Weetbix - 97% wheat, added sugar and synthetic fake vitamins!
❌ Bread / toast - highly processed wheat, gluten, low nutrients.
❌ Meal replacement shakes - fake fake fake fake fake, made in a lab full of synthetic ingredients, preservatives, colours, artificial sweeteners, thickeners, hidden sugars.
❌ Just a coffee on its own - far from enough fuel and nutrients to begin your day.

These options are far better -

✅ Frittata / Omelette with vegetables

✅ Bacon 🥓 and eggs 🍳 with a salad 🥗

The truth about wheat!
So let’s summarize - For 10,000 years, we cultivated wheat, stored it, milled it and consumed it. The system worked, and it nourished our civilization. Then, in the industrial era, we changed things.
First we invented mechanical technologies to turn wheat into barren white flour. Then, we invented chemical and genetic technologies to make it resistant to pests, drought, blight and easier to harvest, dramatically increasing yield per acre. And, while we were tweaking genetics, we also figured out how to increase glutens for better “baking properties” (fluffier results).
Put another way:
We have mutant seeds, grown in synthetic soil, bathed in chemicals. They're deconstructed, pulverized to fine dust, bleached and chemically treated to create a barren industrial filler that no other creature on the planet will eat. And we wonder why it might be making us sick?

Get the basics right!!!
1. Well balanced natural wholefood diet.
2. Daily exercise and movement.
3. Min 7-8 hours sleep each night.
4. Low stress life.

Incorporating these core essentials into your life will ensure a healthier mind and body.

The list of other ‘health products’ is endless. Ketone drinks, protein shakes, kombucha, infused tea, fasting, activated charcoal, multi vitamins, fish oil tablets, cleansing and detox shakes.

Some of these products have their place and can provide health benefits, others are just hype and good marketing!

If you’re drinking alcohol more than once or twice a week you’re exposing your body to so much harm. A shot of kombucha a day will not reverse the damaging effects.

If you are not eating 5+ serves of vegetables per day, the products listed above won’t go near replacing the health benefits from vegetables.

Eating processed, unnatural, genetically modified or fast food won’t allow your body to naturally detox. A chemical detox powder drink created in a lab won’t work either!

You can survive on 4-6 hours sleep per night, but you can’t thrive and be truly healthy.

I totally understand the hope and belief we can have regarding these other ‘health products’. On a personal note, in the early days of my health journey, I have been down the path of trying every supplement, powder, pill, shake and fad superfood. However nothing has worked better than what I incorporate in my daily life now - just eating very clean and natural food, regular exercise and good quality sleep!!

Can you believe it’s mid March already? Is this the year you promised to improve your health and fitness? 💪

The year will be over before we know it, but there is still plenty of time to start and make a change!!
Break down those barriers, limiting beliefs and stop with the excuses. Make it a higher priority and find the time!!

At 42 I’m better now then I have been in decades. I’m fitter, healthier, faster, stronger, smarter, weigh less, get sick less, have better skin, sleep better, greater mood, better mental health, more motivated and lower risk of all the main lifestyle diseases!!

Stop the decline, start taking small steps towards a better you!!

It would be great if we could eat a pizza, then go for a run for 30 mins and break even.
Unfortunately this is far from the truth. Put simply, it is much easier to over-consume or eat excess energy than it is to burn it off.

If you care about your weight, you must strive to not overeat. Period. This is not optional. And if you want to optimize weight loss and your health, you should exercise regularly.

You can’t out run a bad diet!!

Results happen over time, not overnight.Work hard, stay consistent and be patient.
