'Project Resilience,' Australia’s first large-scale mRNA research hub and vaccine manufacturing facility, will produce up to 100 million vaccine doses annually, including COVID-19 boosters and vaccines for respiratory viruses like influenza and RSV. Pure Piping was engaged to deliver the mechanical pipework and electrical scope, covering design, procurement, installation, pressure testing, passivation, and commissioning. Stainless steel was chosen for its corrosion resistance, durability, and suitability for high-purity pharmaceutical environments, ensuring the facility meets stringent GMP standards.​

The ASSDA Awards were presented last week on Wednesday 16 October at Blackbird Brisbane, as part of , celebrating the exceptional quality and excellence in local stainless steel design, fabrication and delivery.

Since September 2022 Pure Piping has been engaged on CSL Seqirus project “Banksia”- a new biopharmaceutical facility in Tullamarine, Victoria. This will be the only cell-based influenza vaccine manufacturing facility in the Southern Hemisphere. The facility will also manufacture unique products important to Australia's public health needs - including antivenom for Australian snakes, spiders and marine creatures, and the world's only human vaccine for Q-Fever.
Pure Piping’s scope of work centred around Flu Cell Culture (FCC) Level 1 Purification, Products of National Significance (PNS) building and Administration & Laboratories (ADL) building.
Process services installed include product, water for injection, pure water, gases (such as nitrogen, argon, carbon dioxide, filtered compressed air) and chemicals (such as sodium hydroxide, citric acid).
This is yet another project our team is very proud to have been a part of – congratulations to everyone involved with getting this first class facility operational.
