I have been teaching hatha yoga for 30 years, aerial yoga for 12 years, yin yoga for 6 years, meditation for 6 years and practicing biodynamic craniosacral therapy for 9 years.

All of these practices weave a beautiful tapestry, much like the fascial web…..

Which has lead me on a deep dive of fascia and its incredible role in movement patterns in the body. This past year I have been studying with the highly talented Alexa Nehter of , learning new ways of moving with neuromyofascial exercises which encourage a deeper understanding of both adaptability and strength as we move through this world.

This has changed my teaching of yoga asana greatly as I am more interested in longevity and injury prevention than finding the “perfect pose”.

Improve Your Gait Workshop Do you struggle with recurring injuries when walking, running, hiking or even just strolling around shopping?!
Gait is a fundamental aspect of human movement that plays a crucial role in our daily lives.

One of the main factors influencing gait is our myofascial system. The adaptability and health of our fascia, muscles and joints play a significant role in how we move.

Weak muscles, dehydrated fascia and joints that don’t move optimally can lead to our bodies compensating unnecessarily. I like to think of the fascial network as a tent, with the joints and structures beneath like ‘pegs’. We want these structures to adapt in a way that supports our body in as many movements as possible.

We will also explore the nervous system and how it plays a big role in the way we move through the world.

Join Emma for this fun-filled 2 hour workshop to learn more about your gait.

-We begin by breaking down some simple neuromyofascial exercises to create more ease and harmony.

-Followed by a Slow fascial inspired yoga flow encouraging ease, grace and adaptability to all that life throws at you!

- Emma will then guide you through a deeply nourishing relaxation to allow your body to soak up the practice, leaving you feeling refreshed and ready to step out into your day.

When - Sunday 6th July 2-4pm (arrive 5-10 minutes prior to get settled in).

So often our feet are ignored, with restrictive or very cushioned shoes, hard, flat, predictive surfaces and lack in variety of movement leading to loss of mobility. Therefore, having a ripple effect throughout the whole myofascial system!

Join Emma for a fun filled 2 hour workshop to nurture our precious feet.

We will start with hot, aromatherapy infused towel’s to soothe, nurture and connect to our amazing feet.

Following with neuromyofascial movement and traditional yoga poses to create harmony from the ground up.

Learn movements to create ease in your everyday life, creating lightness of being and a sense of balance and grounding.
