Not only was it a joy and a privilege to teach on the mindfulness and meditation teacher training this weekend, but it was also an opportunity for reflection.
I have taught mindfulness and meditation in kindergartens, schools, to the elderly, those recovering from trauma, to those with physical and intellectual additional needs, to the beautiful souls undergoing chemotherapy, or recovering from illnesses, to those recovering from profound grief and those looking for a better way to be in the world and cope with their daily stresses.
Meditation has the power to transform our minds, our perceptions, our relationship with ourselves and the world around us, it can shape and transform our physical brains and our lives.
If you fallen off the meditation wagon or have been thinking about taking up a meditation practice, winter is most certainly the most perfect time to start again, it offers us a time of turning inwards and deep reflection, so this is your nudge if you needed it - to settle into your body, to close your eyes, to bring your awareness to the breath, and connect to your true nature.
