I had a lovely day at work yesterday. The sun was shining and the train trip was so nice. The careers advisor at the school was lovely (she remembered me from last year) and the girls were punctual, polite, interested and interesting. All in all a great day! .

How has your summer been?
It’s not long til the new school year starts and I’ve been reflecting upon the lovely long summer days and evenings.
The evenings are beginning to “draw in” and my diary is filling up with bookings for careers work in a number of schools. I’m actually looking forward to getting back to seeing the year 11s in just a few weeks time!

I’m lucky to have discovered yoga studio, in West Sussex. So much wisdom flows from the wonderful team there and from the philosophies they espouse.

A lovely young client told me yesterday that he’s off track and is worried about everything from how he looks to how well he performs both academically and in sports. He feels that he “should” be better, other than he is and that he is being judged by others. Sad.

If we can free ourselves from assumptions and unrealistic expectations, then we can be free, happy and at peace.
