When you know you've done something wrong, it's natural to feel guilt or shame. It's what you do with this feeling that matters.
Some people can feel unworthy and tell themselves things like 'I'm not good enough' or 'I'm bad'. A better response, however, and one where people grow, is to change that thought to 'I'm not bad, I just did something wrong', and then, 'how can I do better?'
