WORK EXCHANGE OPPORTUNITY

Any artists out there wanting to journey through a transformative series?

Our delightful group member who was going to create art installations (or altars) in my upcoming movement rites series, starting TOMORROW, has had to pull out today due to sickness.
So there's an opportunity for someone who wants to come in as a work exchange to help create the "sacred architecture of the series" (like the images shown).

Maybe you love to create art but haven't shared it much. This series can be a beautiful place to co-create art that supports our critical rituals and dances in a nurturing community. It's a creative, rich and important role in the series.

We gather weekly to dance, reflect, create, and mark what’s shifting in us. This is a modern-day rite of passage, rooted in Open Floor movement practice, ritual, and shared transformation.

Our Warrandyte Saturday morning dance is one year old tomorrow!

Huge gratitude to all those who have sought refuge on these floor boards in the dance, with the tunes, the trees, the kindred spirits on this beautiful country we are blessed to gather on.

📣 Movement Rites Series begins in 3 weeks!

For those who haven't met me yet, I'm Henry Fowkes – Open Floor teacher, group facilitator, and Gestalt Psychotherapist with a passion for creating spaces where transformation can unfold naturally.

I believe in the paradoxical truth that real change happens when we stop trying so hard to change and instead inhabit what is truly here.

In this 9th Movement Rites series, we'll explore how embracing exactly where we are opens doorways to who we're becoming.

My approach? Down-to-earth, energetic, and deeply trusting of your innate resilience. I bring my whole self – parent, dancer, therapist, and perpetual student of life – to hold space for your journey.

Heya Tassie movers, a bit over a week until we dance again in Hobart! Wild i'll be leaving my little family for three days (for us), and, excited to be back in Tas moving with all you lovely peeps :)

A heads up, both workshops are filling up - which is great to see.

Friday - Gonna be a big dance floor for Friday night - tickets available online, and there might be a few door sales, but let's see.
Sunday - daylong workshop moving with 'thresholds' early bird ends tomorrow.

Summer has arrived, as things are heating up here in Melbourne 🌞

Summer draws us out into the wild of rivers and beaches, and stirs our inner wilderness, as It holds us across the threshold of a new year.

Next Saturday my Dance Refuge daylong retreat will offer a day of deep diving dancing and ritual to support us to cross this threshold with some intent.

And our next Saturday morning dance in Warrandyte is tomorrow. It will be a hot one, which can be a great space to surrender into a sweaty dance - with the support of water, cool fans, good company and some delicious American style lemonade at the end!
