Plantar fasciitis is a common cause of chronic heel pain in runners, triathletes, and other humans... Dr. Mitch Anderson has been working on perfecting a percutaneous release of the plantar fascia with a simple needle and local anaesthetic in the Shinbone Medical rooms. Over 500 done in the last 2 years. We have just submitted a paper with 80% satisfaction when patients are followed up in the first year.

For those with chronic pain not responding to conservative means - this procedure needs no incisions (single needle puncture only) no hospital visit and a rapid return to almost normal activity over three days. This means you can get back to work, walking and training without pain in days to weeks.
