Feelgood Event Celebrates Pride of Workmanship

The Rotary Club of Emerald and District was proud to host and organise their bi-annual Pride of Workmanship event on Tuesday 18 March at the Puffing Billy Lakeside Visitors Centre.

13 Local businesses celebrated the achievements of their staff in 'doing it once - doing it right' with the result of excellent client srevice and teams that are committed to working together.

The vibe in the room of over 100 attendees was very positive and upbeat - a real celebration of the work the local businesses undertake to support our community.

Guests of Honour included Cr Jack Kowarzik, Mayor of Cardinia Shire, Rotary District 9815 District Governor, Colin Byron and the major sponsor of the event, Andrew Gardner from Bendigo Bank, Emerald whose support was greatly appreciated.

The team at the Puffing Billy Visitor Centre put a great evening for guests who were entertained by MC and Rotarian Ian Ash. President Kelly McAllister presented the awards to recipients and attendees enjoyed an entertaining segment by guest speaker, Martin Doulton.

The real stars of the evening were the recipients of the Pride of Workmanship Awards - well done to every single one of you for going above and beyond!!!

It was a proud moment for Lindy McDonald who was nominated for an Award for her hard work and dedication to the clients and team. She was a worthy recipient and spoke openly about her passion for reducing stigma and working in mental health. Well done Lindy 💖

“Talkin it Up” is a forum for young people and carers with guest speakers and a panel discussion on current issues that impact youth mental health. It is both in person in Emerald and online.
