United Front Therapy

You could say I have spent the last two decades studying human behaviour, particularly mine. Feeling like I have a lot of freeloaders in my head telling me complete opposites to each other, confusing right. My studies include a Bachelor of Social Work, and that did fine until I realised the individual is not necessarily the source of the problem, it actually goes back to the family, generational in fact!!. So being the curious one and the freeloader in my head saying you can’t do it (imposter syndrome) now that is thing. That did well for a time however there was still something missing that I needed in my tool box! Hence the continuation of study. Am I searching for the holy grail!! The body keeps the score, great book to read, so with my ongoing studies I do holistic therapy MIND BODY SPIRIT your inner child. So this journey is now taking me down the meditation pathway, to become a meditation teacher. Not the one that sits on a mountain top with the buddhists. Busy people mindfulness, that term irks me because we need time for self as number one priority. So my practice is steered by you, and we go down the path of coping skills you developed as a child and how that manifest in adulthood, which impacts on relationships with self and others. We develop techniques to feel safe when your brain thinks it’s being chased by a tiger!! Most live in that state, Not good. I do specialise in Couples and Families. Working with individuals and also children. I call myself a hamburger with the lot. Acknowledge the freeloaders in our head but let them pass.
