That meltdown in the car is because the brain actually believes its in danger.
No amount of "It will be fun, I promise" will override that signal.

Anxiety lives in the subconscious mind. It learns patterns fast and avoidance reinforces the fear loop.

💫This is what hypnotherapy does differently. It speaks directly to the subconscious mind where the pattern is.

💫It helps the child rewrite the story the brain is telling them about what is dangerous.

💫It builds a sense of calm and safety from the insife out. Not just coping strategies.

💫Kids are incredible hypnotherapy clients- their imaginations make the process powerful and fast.

💫If your child struggles, send me a dm. I would love to help.

When your child struggles with anxiety, its easy to feel helpless as a parent.

Here's what most people don't know: it lives in the subconscious mind. Its a learned pattern - not a life sentence.

Patterns can be rewritten. Hypnotherapy gently accesses the subconscious, calms the nervous system and replaces fear based patterns eith feelings of safety and confidence.

No forcing, no drama, just calm, powerful change.

You know the kid that can't sit still, gets distracted by others, engages in fights and gets in trouble at school?

Well all it took was some hypno magic and a sparkly poo!

The feeling of your child going to school without a meltdown and typical school refusal.

You gear yourself up for a morning....knowing that by the time you actually convince your child to get to school by bribing, shouting, ignoring....your tank is EMPTY and your nervous system (and your child's) is fried!

I see you. You are not alone.

I wish parents knew these 5 things about child anxiety.

1. Anxiety is not manipulation. Their nervous system is overwhelmed

2.Anxiety is not the enemy. Its the protector.

3. Avoidance fuels anxiety. The brain learns that what they fear is way too dangerous

4. Too much reassurance keeps them dependent on you.

5. Courage comes before confidence. They need to act before feeling ready. Small steps, repeated wins

Sunshine, a walk. This is when anxiety starts to shift.

When I'm walking my dog, Im not trying to "fix" anything.
I'm reminding my nervous system that I am safe.

When anxiety is loud, we don't use logic. We start with connection to simple moments that say I'm okay here.

My phone rings early on M8nday mornings in the clinic.

Another tired, overwhelmed parent who couldn't get their child to school. Tummy aches, tears and tantrums were a "normal" monday morning.

School refusal is not defiance

Mondays are tough. Its a transition, Change of routine, separation from you.

With support we can build confidence, resilience and coping skills.

If this is your Monday morning. You are not alone.

I wish more people realised you can feel anxious on your own couch at home.

*Overstimulated from the day
*Replaying conversations and texts
*Thinking about what you need to do tomorrow

The best thing you can do is bring it back to the present.
*A quiet room
*soft blanket
*Your dog by your side
*one breath at a time

Reminding yourself you are safe🩷

5 Things we need to STOP saying to people who experience anxiety:

Just calm down- If it was that easy we would!

You're overreacting - Anxiety makes small things feel huge

Everybody feels stressed- Stress and anxiety are not the same thing

There'nothing to worry about - For you maybe

Just think positive - Do you know how many times I've heard this?
