Happy Sunday afternoon Yogis

A quick reminder that we only have 2 classes left for this year. This is such a vital time to attend when the world starts to speed up and people around us start to go crazy with stress!

I have made a special offer of $15 cash for any new Yogis that have been considering coming for some time, to encourage them to try the class before the end of the year.

I would love to extend that offer to you all should you be interested - for the next two Magic Monday Yoga classes pay $15 per Yoga class in cash and save $5 per class - this also makes it easier for anyone whose card is full

Ive woken up on a great Tuesday morning so so grateful to be given the opportunity of living another "Terrific Tuesday" and I seriously intend to have it live up to its name!!

I am so very grateful to each and every Yogi who came last night and made the class so great - I know that you would all have left feeling energised and refreshed and enjoyed a great nights sleep because that is what Yoga does for us

"Magic Monday Yoga Class" will NOT be held this Melbourne Cup Weekend.

Whilst our favourite Yoga class is paused for the long weekend, remember to practise Yoga in your everyday.

Breathe deep, take your shoes and socks off, stand on the grass and ground for frequent 10 minute recharges

Bring mindfulness into all that you do using your 5 senses to be present in each moment

Above all else remember to smile and feel good whenever you can, the world needs your positive energy - its all magic

Great Yoga class last night Yogis - thank you, I am so very grateful to each and everyone of you for being there making a powerful energetic contribution.

As I touched upon last night, yesterday was the first day of celebration of Diwali Festival - the Hindu celebration Festival of Lights - Diwali translates as "row of light" that symbolizes the victory of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance. Diwali is an important festival originating in India which takes place annually and lasts for five days.

So last night as our tribute and celebration of such a beautiful celebration, focussing on love and light - we projected love and light in our intention for our class and in our meditation.

I invited Yogis to join me for the next week to create love and light in their daily routines. Each one of us are uplifted and motivated to experience joy and feel love through thoughts that we think and actions that we enact. So in the next few days, lets be mindful of experiencing love, joy and thereby creating inner light that we can project to a world that right now really needs lighting up

You ARE missed - where are you Yogis?

We acknowledged last night how two weeks in, we are still struggling with the time change, I hope that's all it is! Know that I send you all great energy with my words, so that you feel the magic and the extra light that Yoga gifts us with!

I am so so grateful to the amazing Yogis that came and created magic last night - what a great stretch we had, sharing groans of relief, smiles and a laugh too!

Enjoy a 'terrific Tuesday' lovely people - as I said last night, we have a limited time here and its important to remember that - it gives us perspective as to what is important freeing us to choose joy, feeling great - irrespective of what's going on around us.

We cannot create and vibrate peace, love and joy to the world unless we are feeling it ourselves - it all starts with you!!

Another great class last night - thank you to all the Yogis for your much needed energetic contribution.

Im glad I am not the only person struggling with time and change right now - Yogis still coming for 7.30 forgetting the NEW 7pm time start - importantly this time, the yogis stayed and came in and joined us - thank you!

One thing I didnt mention in my "time warp" - we are in the phase of the full moon, tonight it reaches its peak.
Its a highly energetic time on planet Earth so please be mindful of emotions right now which are exaggerated by the energetic force of strong lunar energy.

Of course this is also a great time for manifesting - With the improvement of the weather, I have started doing my daily 'exercises for over 60s' outside with barefoot on the grass, using one of the very tall gums as a wall - not sure what the neighbours think of this activity - the dogs think its fun! I finish off with my 'daily energy routine' and always take advantage of manifesting whilst I am grounding with bare feet on the grass.

I thought I would have some fun and focus on manifesting more money just to prove to myself that its all possible! In two days Ive had two grooming clients contact me to advise me that they overlooked depositing money into my account and yesterday whilst looking through a book, a $50 note flew out!!

Im excited to see how the next money flows to me as I say my mantra 'Im so happy and so grateful that money flows to me in perfect ways' - its so much fun when you see it unfold!!

Have a terrific Tuesday Yogis - use your creative power to manifest in this highly energetic time - its a super moon which means it will appear larger than normal - 30% brighter and 14% larger, as its closer to the earth, hence more lunar energy is pouring onto us!

I always smile when the latest research and studies show the huge benefits associated with Yoga poses.

Its great to be doing them regularly, its also inspiring and reassuring to know that what the ancient yogis knew about the body and how to keep it healthy, is now being realised by science hundreds of years later.

Bird/dog in Sanskrit Parsva Balasana, has been researched to be the top exercise for core strength, glutes and good back care. In fact this exercise alone addresses every concern of ageing including balance, cognitive function and bone density.

A 2024 study in the Journal of Gerontology, called it the single most effective exercise for healthy ageing. Holding the position forces the brain to coordinate between its left and right hemispheres to maintain balance and position - shown to improve cognitive function, memory and even reduce demential risk by 31% according to research from the Cleveland Clinic.

The research on the effectiveness of this exercise alone and its progression is simply stunning. A study from the Maya Clinic followed 500 adults over 60 for two years. Those who performed this exercise four times weekly showed improvements that seemed almost too good to be true

Core strength increased by 93%
Lower back pain decreased by 76%
Fall risk reduced by 82%
Bone density in the spin and hips increased by 3.2% (for context most people over 60 lose about 1% of bone density per year so this represents a 4 year reversal of normal ageing

Research has shown that the bird/dog position creates the optimal combination of compression and tension forces to trigger a rebuilding response.

To optimise the exercise push forward with the hand of the arm being raised and push back with the foot of the leg being raised

Another fabulous Magic Monday Yoga class last night - thank you to all yogis who came - I am so very grateful for your energetic contribution and for supporting the class as you do - without you there would be less magic on a Monday!

I have a post coming up about the exercise that I spoke to you about last night so watch out for that one later!

I mentioned last night about the now famous "Aldi cushion"!! Lovely Sue was at Aldi today and bothered to text me and let me know that there are 6 kneeling mats at Eltham Aldi for $14.98 - great support for your knees on the floorboards and easy and light to carry (see picture below)

The straps arrived today in a very cool drawstring bag, I am excited because now we can all do stretches with support and enhance the whole stretching experience.

Next Monday I will demonstrate at 6.45pm the value of using the strap and some tips to remember for specific stretches - please come early if you are interested :-)

Dear Yogis

It is with regret that I am having to cancel tonights Yoga

My 13 year old fur child Livy is not doing well at all and I dont want to leave her as she needs constant care in her last days

Livy teaching me the ultimate lesson in letting go as I struggle with my human conundrum of attachment

I will see you all next week
