This is great, but was announced a few years ago. The Ratepayers of Werribee South and some local residents were involved in discussions with Fisheries Victoria to achieve the most suitable outcome. There will only be a small increase in car parking as there needs to be a buffer between the car park and the Graham's Wetlands.

We're upgrading the Werribee South boat ramp! Includes an extra ramp lane and accessible pontoon, for more information check it out https://www.premier.vic.gov.au/boat-ramp-construction-blitz

I don't agree with the security trial, but people are obviously concerned about the lack of available police in Wyndham. Werribee is over 40 police short. Building a new station in Point Cook will only take more police off the road. Rather than criticise the council the State Govt should be looking as to why so many police are either on stress leave or resigning. Retention is a huge issue. Govt could also look at encouraging reservists, ie retiring officers to do work in stations.

Thank you to everyone who has come to me regarding Wyndham City Council's security trial.

I've written to the Minister for Local Government Nick Staikos to raise your concerns.

Community safety is our priority, and as I say in the letter — our government takes its advice on resourcing and powers from Victoria Police.

Go well Banchy! 💪

Calling all of Wyndham! 📣 Let's stand together this Sunday!

Our CFA volunteers, FRV career firefighters and our hardworking farmers are the backbone of our communities.

They protect our homes, our land and our livelihoods, often putting their own safety on the line - Now, it's our turn to support them.

Many of them are being hit hard especially in this time of drought and now being hit with unfair new taxes that impact their ability to continue their vital work and make ends meet.

This Sunday, we have a chance to make our voices heard!

Join us at the Scrap the Tax Rally this Sunday, July 13th, at 10:30 AM at Kelly Park.

Let's show our appreciation and demand a fair go for the people who support us every single day!

Your presence matters!

Royal College of GPs had an update last night about the terrible situation in child care. The helpline is 1800 791 241. Children who are being tested require a urine test for chlamydia and gonorrhoea, and a blood test for syphilis. There is no need for any intimate examinations. Please see your regular GP who will be able to help during this awful time.

If concerned please see your GP who will have up to date info

Parents say the accused child abuser was working with children at an Essendon daycare centre months before authorities say he started there.
