We are very excited to welcome Sena Takesh*ta to the team.

With eight years of experience, Sena is a skilled Remedial Massage Therapist specialising in neurorehabilitation, sports massage, lymphatic drainage & pregnancy massage. She will also be offering 90min appointments.

As children go through growth phases coupled with increased participation in sport, injuries; pains and strains can start to occur. With an ever-increasing number of children specialising in one particular sport at increasingly younger ages, the onset of overuse injuries is more common. As children are also still growing they are more susceptible to injury than adults.

SARCOPENIA

The involuntary loss of muscle mass, strength and function. From the age of 30 they all begin to reduce by 3-8% p/decade! This is a significant loss and it is a fundamental cause of and contributor to disability and loss of mobility as we get older.

THE GOOD NEWS: Exercise can counteract this decline, in particular strength training (but aerobic exercise is also beneficial). You can start strength training at any age, you're never too old!
