We celebrate the incredible resilience of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and the vibrant contributions of immigrants from every corner of the globe who now call Australia home. At TLC Healthcare, we are a proud partner of The Pinnacle Foundation, Australia’s LGBTQIA+ education charity.

Each year, with our support, The Pinnacle Foundation awards educational scholarships for tertiary studies to young LGBTQIA+ Australians, many who continue to face family, faith and community rejection because of how they identify. Each scholar is also paired with a mentor who has experienced a similar journey, offering guidance and support along the way.

One such scholar, Arvin, has been awarded the TLC Healthcare Scholarship in 2024 and 2025. Arvin is studying a Bachelor of Medical Studies and Doctor of Medicine at the University of New South Wales and is expecting to graduate in 2026. Arvin is passionate about mental health, access to healthcare, and making health and medical education more inclusive to the LGBTQIA+ community.

We are excited to see the positive impact Arvin will have in his community and beyond.
