A terrific way to launch the 2026 FIDA - Football Integration Development Association season on Sunday at Fearon Reserve, Williamstown.

Big congratulations to the FIDA InLife Local Legends, 8.11 (59), for taking out the inaugural Footy4Everyone Cup in a great game against the Studiotech Australia Parliamentary Owls, 7.6 (48)!

We were proud to support the day, and proud to see Ryan, David and Jack represent InLife out on the ground for the Owls.

A special thank you to our very own Sophie for helping organise the day - to Amanda, John and Logan from FIDA - Football Integration Development Association for everything they did behind the scenes, and to Rob Klemm from the Williamstown Seagulls FIDA FC for hosting at Fearon Reserve.

And congratulations as well to Vikhram J. and Eric P., who took out the Fairest & Best awards on the day!

It was a great example of what makes FIDA so valued: good footy, strong community spirit and a format that brings people together.

On Sunday, we kicked off this year’s InLife Tackle Free Carnivals with FIDA - Football Integration Development Association 👏

Tackle Free Footy gives people of all abilities the chance to have a kick, and with the weather and the people we had, there aren’t many better ways to spend a Sunday morning!

Shout out to the players of the day:
- Jason H (InLife Local Legends), led from the front and lifted everyone around him
- Zaviyar R (Cranbourne), first game, brought the energy and kicked a goal
- Braxton J (Monash / Kananook), backed his teammates and brought real team spirit
- Tanya K (Parkside), a calm, encouraging presence helping everyone play their best

Big thanks to Matt, John and Logan from FIDA, the amazing InLife volunteers, and Peter and the Monash demons fida for hosting a great day.

Follow us and FIDA to be the first to hear about the next one.
No team? Come down and join the InLife Local Legends on the day.

The countdown is on – the Paralympics start this Friday!

We’ve purchased two digital seats to support our Australian Paralympic Team.

Anyone who grabs a seat can see their name on the Paralympic jacket, which we think is super cute 🥺

It was great to see so many people at The Disability Events Community - The DEC Brimbank today 💛

Olivia, Danielle, Sarah and Hollie spent the day meeting participants, families and other local organisations, with around 300 people coming through the doors.

We really enjoy these days. They’re a chance to have proper conversations, answer questions and hear what’s happening locally.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by for a chat, and to The DEC for bringing everyone together once again!

Happy new year! 新年快乐

2026 is the Year of the Horse 🐎

Georgie is excited for the new year festival in Box Hill this weekend. She's learning to speak Mandarin and has been eating more dumplings than usual to celebrate 🥟

According to Chinese horoscopes, people born in the Year of the Horse are believed to be hardworking, warm-hearted, social, eloquent and independent.

That's a wrap for VALID's Having a Say (HaS) conference 2026!

We've had an amazing time at Australia's largest disability conference at Deakin University Waterfront Campus.

A highlight for us was sponsoring the HaS's Got Talent show!

1. Video: HaS’s Got Talent winner Rory wowing everyone with his voice and ukulele on stage, with the judges to the left. Senior Coordinator Debbie from Geelong loved being on the panel 🧑‍⚖️

2. InLife client Melinda presenting ‘My own house, and MY own business’ 🌱

3. (L-R) Sarah, Belle, Val, Georgia and Letecia doing their best Beatles impression 🎶

4. (L-R) InLife client and VALID volunteer Lynne, Kim and Robyn at the InLife stand 🤩

5. (L-R in InLife t-shirts) Agnes, Amelia and Sarah chatting with people at the InLife stand 🗣️

6. (L-R) Sarah, Belle and Cobey at the InLife stand 😊
