π It was such an honour to meet this beautiful human!
This is the artist who created the piece I use at EVERY market and festival.
I fell in love with her work and bought my first piece at WILD HORSES several years ago.
We got to connect at this after learning it was CANCELLED last minute.
Mahalo for your work for creating beautiful works of Art!

Check her out!

That ONE question shifted many things.

Get treated!
By getting treatments you learn so much about yourself and your body.
Getting treatments CAN feel like LUXURY, however it's necessary.
Popping a pill should NOT be the first thing you do.

Oh hey Fam!
Question for you magical humans?
When was the last time you took a moment to slow down?
Listened to the wind in the trees?
Sat in the sun?
When was the last time you gave yourself space to just be?

π Inspirational wahine toa (strong woman).
shared her story with a small intimate group of women. Her hubby, camera in hand- documenting her speech and capturing images.
Aroha shared her story with vulnerability, poise and strength. The karakia (a formal prayer before ceremony/event) was powerful, I have no idea what they said however the powerful felt was beautiful.
Her speech is coming at a great time as I have created a big shift in life and just about to step into another uplevel with change.
Her kind words when she gifted me her signed book was "you have such a presence, the way you hold yourself with people is so powerful" ππ₯°π₯Ήπ₯Ή (I was sleep deprived and in an average mood)
THAT RIGHT THERE.... Is proof of how much work I had put into myself.
π 6 years ago, I couldn't stand/sit still and give someone my undivided attention without needing to jump to the next task whilst talking to someone.
π 6 years ago, I couldn't even look someone in the eye for more than 3 seconds.
π 6 years ago, I was quick to react and lecture someone in what they should do rather than give them space to freely express.
Proud moment when three MAORI HUMANS on three separate occasions approached me this week and shared their compliments.
The work on ones self is priceless.

π₯ Stress and Muscle Recovery: The Uninvited Guest π§ πͺ
Did you know that stress can be a major roadblock to muscle recovery?
When you're stressed, your body releases cortisol, which can block healing and increase inflammation. This means those workout gains could take longer to show up!
High stress can also lead to tension and tightness in your muscles, making recovery feel like a never-ending struggle. So, if you want to bounce back faster, itβs time to manage that stress!
Incorporate relaxation techniques like:
β Deep breathing
β Show up to treatment
β Yoga & Pilates
β A good laugh with loved ones
β Furbabe cuddles
β Nature walks/ hikes/swims
Trust, your muscles and body will thank you. β¨πββοΈ
Guides will be available online by the end of October.

Typically I work with those who are EXTREMELY busy and who DESIRE to take a moment out of their day to FILL THEIR CUP. I do so with a variety of healing modalities.
My name is Lauren Hokulani and Myotherapy is my trade. As a child I had always loved kneading play dough and found that I LOVED working with my hands and creating things. My mom would request a foot massage after a long day of work and it was quite rewarding hearing her say how great I was with my hands. She would often tell me that I would be great at massage.
In my junior year of high school my friend and I were crossing the crosswalk and was struck by a car. I had sustained a few injuries, luckily no broken bones just bruised, sore and lots of road rash. It was a decently long road to recovery with a lot of lower back pain and a bit of PTSD when crossing the road. I still find myself getting a bit anxious when crossing a road.
I had undergone lots of treatments to get me better, physio, chiros, podiatrist etc. But the one thing that really made me FEEL good was MASSAGE. I absolutely LOVED the way it left me feeling. In Hawaii, whilst working with mom, doing our catering business; I would gravitate towards the massage area. The way these guys/ girls were so in-tuned with the person and was amazing! I was so intrigued!
Fast forward a few years after graduation high school and college, then eventually moving to Melbourne, Australia; I finally took action in my PASSION. I had enrolled in a massage course through VFA Learning. It took off! I volunteered for everything! I wanted to know what I could do to help someone.
After my Cert. lV and diploma, I was offered to take over a room of a studio gym a couple nights a week. The owner and nutritionist has helped me get my business off the ground. I am so grateful for her because... Here I am!
A Myotherapist! Taking a holistic, intuitive approach to helping heal the body. I work with the person, their week and stressors to help rid the body of pain- emotionally, physically and mentally.
I love what I do and I aim to help others the same way that massage therapist helped me.
