Does it sound crazy to you that a new treatment literally infuses millions of microscopic needles into your skin to help ‘anti-age’ it?
Yeah same, that’s why I had to try it for myself.
If you were following along a few weeks ago, I tried the Korean ‘Dr Spi-cure’ spicule facial from , which uses millions of microscopic, needle-like structures from European freshwater sponges to give tired skin a boost.
I can’t share exactly what was involved (you’ll have to read my full *link in Bio for that), but I did like it a lot.
After the treatment, my skin looked flushed, but no worse than when I’ve finished a spin class, and the aftercare was strict: no washing until morning, only gentle patting of my skincare, and staying off makeup for a whole day.
Sleeping was a challenge on night one - those prickly spicules are sensitive against the pillow!
But by night two, the sensation had faded, and by day three, I saw light shedding around my chin and nose.
On day four, the payoff arrived: glassy, plump and dewy skin.
This is def not your usual facial, but if you’re up for a tiny bit of downtime and a lot of glow, this unique treatment, priced at around $250, is worth it.
