OSTEOPATHS TREAT CHILDREN TOO

From new borns to our teenagers, children can be seen by an osteopath for a wide range of presentations.

Some common conditions that we treat; colic, reflux, torticollis, excessive vomiting, tongue tie, latching issues, constipation and abnormal bowel motions.

Our osteopath Grace loves working with children of all ages, especially after following and aiding their mothers journey through pregnancy.

If you have any questions regarding your littlest family member please do not hesitate to ask reception/ your osteo. It is never too early to address some of these conditions.

Finally Melbourne, the countdown is on!
As of Friday the 22nd of October, allied health is wiped of all its restrictions.
What this means….

* Our Osteo’s are back treating all patients, there is no need for you to be classified as urgent anymore.

* After a loooong wait our amazing massage therapists are back. Matt, Pat and Kendall will be returning to the clinic as of next week and all online bookings have been activated once again.

* Andy is back treating in Prahran as of next week.

* All our staff are vaccinated and our COVID plans are up to date and in practice at the clinic.

* As per the DHHS guidelines, all masks are still to be worn in the clinic and for the duration of your appointment.

We CANNOT wait to see you all from Friday, it’s been a long time coming! 🎉🎉🎉
As always, we cannot thank our community at Albert Park Sports and Spinal enough for being so understanding and patient over the last few months.

With the new Victorian DHHS guidelines Osteopathy, Chiro, Physio and Massage have been restricted to “urgent” appointments only.

What does “URGENT” mean?

Without Osteopathic or Massage treatment you would….

- Present to hospital admission or emergency department presentation
- Experience an increase in the need for further specialist medical or surgical intervention
- Experience an increase in care needs that would necessitate additional carer supports or change in accommodation needs
- Experience secondary complications post surgery where deferral would lead to long term adverse consequences (ie. delays to child development)

Unfortunately, general pain does not quite cut it at the moment- and this is obviously super frustrating for everyone involved.

If you don’t happen to fall under any of these criteria, we will need to reschedule your appointment for after Sept 2nd when, (hopefully) our restrictions ease up.

Hang in there guys, we look forward to being able to help ALL our patients again very soon.

One of the most common questions I get from my mummas- to- be is “how soon after having my bub can I come back to see you?”

Long story short… As soon as you feel up to it. 🥰
Pregnancy, labour, vaginal delivery and c-sections are all equally as exhausting as the other and every females body handles this process differently.

Depending on the exit route for your little one, this can alter the way we as osteopaths approach your treatment and management.
Our primary goal? To get you feeling more comfortable and confident with the body that just produced a new life. 🤱🏽

If you’re expecting, and don’t know what to expect 🤷🏼‍♀️ ask your osteo today.

Last night the crew spent the evening with Mitch from to learn all things walking/running and trail shoes.

With the constant improvement in shoe technology there is a lot to keep up with.
Shoes have a huge impact on our running performance but also on our every day aches and pains.

Think you’ve clocked over 600km in your shoes?
Chat to your Osteo or massage therapist about upgrading and book online at therunningcompany.com.au for a personalised fit. 🏃🏽👍🏽
